Last year, I attended the very 1st Mompreneur Summit with the theme "Think Big". My friend Jen CC Tan joined the powerhouse cast of speakers who literally showed participants how to build their business - from branding to marketing to digital presence.
Next weekend, the 2nd Mompreneur Summit will be happening with the theme "Passion and Purpose". This theme is very close to my heart because my business is anchored on my passion for my advocacy - natural parenting which covers breastfeeding, babywearing and cloth diapering. The products I sell are carefully studied to ensure that only those that I will personally use in my family will be included. For instance, I have had several offers and requests to include bottles and sterilizers in my product line-up but I constantly decline because it is not consistent with my principles.
I am humbled to find out and honored to share with you that I have been nominated for the Social Mompreneurship and Advocacy Category of the 1st Mompreneur Manila Awards!
Jenny’s business, Mama.Baby.Love, is an online store offering breastfeeding accessories, natural parenting and attachment parenting products, borne our of her own advocacies and personal parenting practices. Her belief that breastfeeding is best for babies and her passion to promote it to other moms by giving information and support is always at the heart of her business. She is a mom of two kids, and a hardworking advocate who has also become one of the primary sources of breastfeeding and natural parenting info, through her shop and her blog, Chroniclesofanursingmom.com. Website link: www.facebook.com/MamaBabyLoveIf you like and believe in what I am doing, may I ask a few minutes of your time to vote? You can vote by going to this page --> http://mompreneurmanila.com/awards/jenny-ong/ and clicking the "LIKE" button. Online voting comprises 20% of the judging criteria. I hope you can help me out!
I also would like to take this opportunity to invite you to sign up for the seminar. I believe one key to having a successful business is to find your niche and be passionate about it. With the impressive line-up of speakers, spending one September Saturday in the Mompreneur Summit will be worth it.
Especially for mom bloggers (I am one, too!) to differentiate yourself from the multitude of blogs popping up, the key is finding a niche you can be passionate about. This summit is not just for individuals with businesses - but also for those thinking of starting their own business or even those who have a blog which can be turned in to a business. For bloggers, as Eliza of the Painter's Wife shares, your brand is your blog! Check out the line-up of activities for the Summit.
