The event is organized by parenting and relationship expert Maribel S. Dionisio, together with her friends, Fides Reyes, a PR and events organizer and Rowie Matti, CEO of the Galileo Enrichment Learning Program.
Targeted to an audience of parents, couples, teens and young adults, the one-day program has a myriad of topics which attendees can learn from. With the theme "BFF: Building the Filipino Family," the Family Congress aims to "provide a venue for learning by gathering the best experts in the field of psychology, parenting, and relationship to share their knowledge to family members, educators, and organizations in the most effective and simplest way."
Some interesting seminars for parents include Migrating and Managing the Digital World, Handling the Bully and the Bullied and Teaching Parents to Talk to Kids & Teens about Sex & Relationship. Couples may be interested in learning the art of fighting through the Love Institute's "Being Friends Forever in Marriage" seminar. Meanwhile, teens/single participants can learn from talks such as "Career, Relationship and Life Plan for Singles."
With speakers such as Dr. Queena N. Lee-Chua and Dr. Ma. Lourdes "Honey" A. Carandang (who I interviewed during for my freshman college English paper), among others, the event will surely be a venue for participants to gain valuable insights and experiences.
